Ana Navarro-Cárdenas Torches Sarah Huckabee Sanders On Twitter

Ana Navarro-Cárdenas started a Sarah Sanders burn battle on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, sharing an image that appeared to show a private message sent by the former press secretary. Others joined in with harsh words and jokes about Sanders’ time working with President Donald Trump.

Navarro-Cárdenas started it off, sharing an image that read, “Hello. Have you missed me?” under the name Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “No, girl. Not even a little,” she replied.

Sanders constantly made headlines when she served as Trump’s press secretary, amazing the public with the level of spin she used to defend the president. She was the subject of much derision and satire, and when she resurfaced in Twitter feeds Wednesday, users lost no time joining in the roast.

Many referenced the efforts Sanders put in to cover for Trump, calling her a liar. Sanders’ incomparable representation of Trump, dodging of questions, defending under all circumstances, and ability to juggle the cognitive dissonance when the president contradicted himself made her a satire goldmine during her tenure.

Others took the tweet as an invitation to compare Sarah Huckabee Sanders to Trump’s current press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, whose own spin for Trump is quickly making her an equally unpopular public figure.

Other Twitter users lashed out at Sanders with references to various public incidents or scandals, such as Russian interference in the U.S. election, or the time that a restaurant refused to serve Sanders’ family because of the Trump administration’s position on immigration, and her public defense of that administration.

No punches were pulled. It’s quite clear that, however the public feels about Trump’s current press secretary, Twitter does not miss Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
