Joe Biden may have been delivering the State of the Union last night, but Donald Trump wanted all the attention on them. The former President covered the event live on his Truth Social website.
One thing that particularly drew the ire of Trump was when Biden talked about overcoming the pandemic. The former President responded in a way that enraged conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Biden had noted that a, "pandemic no longer controls our lives. The Vaccines that saved us from COVID are now being used to help beat cancer. " Trump responded, "YOU'RE WELCOME, JOE! NINE MONTH APPROVAL TIME VS. 12 YEARS THAT IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN YOU!"
Alex Jones was not happy about the former President's response. He responded via Twitter, "I love Trump but this is bull shit! The so called vaccine is a biological weapon! Good news is people are awake and not even 45 can sell it."
This is a clear example of why trying to take credit for everything can get Trump into trouble. While in office, he worked hard to downplay the seriousness of the pandemic, creating many anti-vaxxers among his supporters. And those supporters now don't want to see Trump act like the COVID vaccine was good thing it was.
