After He Surges to PA Lead, Decision Desk Has Called The Election for Joe Biden

On Tuesday night, Donald Trump surged out to a lead in a number of states. At 3:30 in the morning, the president declared that he had won victory. But that was long before the country had begun to count all it’s electoral votes.

Over the last 3 days, the election continued to slide Biden’s way. Over night on Thursday, Biden took the lead in Georgia, though the lead wasn’t big enough for networks to call the election for him. On Friday morning, though, Biden took the lead in Pennsylvania with some sources saying the lead is big enough to call the election for Biden.

Decision Desk reports, “Decision Desk HQ projects that Joe Biden has won Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral college votes for a total of 273. Joe Biden has been elected the 46th President of the United States of America.”

Pollster Nate Silver replied to the Decision Desk’s tweet, writing, “Good for them. The outcome has been apparent for a while. No reason other sources shouldn’t follow. There’s some doubt about the outcome of Georgia and Arizona, still, but Biden doesn’t need those states to be elected.”

Biden’s lead in Pennsylvania is only expected to grow and more services are likely to make the call for him as the day goes on.
