African American Fox News Pundit Pleads With GOP to Stop Making Racist Comments About Harris

During a Wednesday appearance on Fox and Friends, Lawrence Jones said that voters will be ticked off by Republican lawmaker's continued racist attacks against Kamala Harris.

Despite years of claiming that Joe Biden was too old to run for President, the GOP has been caught flat-footed by his decision to drop out of the race. With seemingly no plan to run against his likely replacement, Kamala Harris, the Republicans don't seem to have much of plan to attack her.

Not surprisingly, several GOP lawmakers have decided to make racist comments about Harris, questioning her credentials due to her race. The most common argument is that Harris is a 'DEI hire.'

Lawrence Jones, one of the few African American regulars on Fox News said that those attacks aren't going to work. He said on Fox & Friends:

"You can attack at all these other attacks are just unnecessary. It’s going to tick voters off. It’s going to make this an identity politics race. And if you decide to do that you’re going to lose. If you start attacking her based on being dei and all the other stuff like that. You are going to turn voters off."

Jones continued by attempting to blame Biden for the racist attacks levied by Republicans, saying, "Look, I understand it, Biden set the stage for it saying: ‘Hey, I’m only going to select a black woman.’ You never want to make… when the GOP Is gaining ground in black America for that to be the one thing you are attacking her on… There is a lot of stuff we just laid out."
