Number Eight: She Really Loves Rihanna. Just like most other red-blooded humans, Adele has a huge appreciation for Rihanna. In an interview, she said that she wishes Rihanna would be part of her squad.
Number Seven: She Has Been on Several Celebrity Dates. Adele has been on several dates with celebrities, but she has been quite secretive about her forays with a more famous crowd. She said, “I’ve been on a few dates with celebrities, but I don’t like it.”
Number Six: She Was Borderline Obsessed With Her Ex. Adele revealed in an interview that she had a troubled past and even had an early life crisis in 2008. She was preparing to begin her tour, An Evening With Adele, but she ended up canceling some tour dates in the United States to be with her ex-boyfriend. She said that she was drinking too much at the time and had an unhealthy relationship with her then-boyfriend.
Number Five: She Is Absolutely a Feminist. Adele is a super strong woman, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that she’s a devout feminist. In an interview, she said that she enjoys being bossy, and she also said “I’m a feminist. I believe that everyone should be treated the same, including race and sexuality.”
Number Four: She Is Really Good at Keeping Secrets. The megastar reportedly kept her son’s name a secret for more than 90 days. And even then, she didn’t actively reveal it to the press; instead, she was caught wearing a gold nameplate with his name on it.
Number Three: She Found Humor in Being Honored by the Royal Family. In 2013, Adele was given the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for her work in the music industry. She accepted the award and promptly erupted into laughter.
Number Two: She Has Sold a Shocking Number of Physical Albums. Adele’s latest album, 25, has been met with hugely positive critical acclaim and has broken all sorts of records. What’s surprising, though, is that people are actually buying physical copies of the album! So far, her new album has sold 1.71 million physical copies.
Number One: She Was Initially Discovered on Myspace. After Adele graduated from school, she recorded a demo consisting of three tracks and uploaded it on Myspace. It was there that she was discovered by XL Recordings.
