Adam Kinzinger: I Would Vote for Joe Biden Over Donald Trump in a Heartbeat

After Donald Trump's supporters ransacked the United States Capitol, many Republicans came out and said the right things. But as time went on, they slowly moved back to Trump. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney were two notable exceptions.

Both Republicans served on the January 6th committee and both came away disgusted with the former President's actions. During a Friday appearance on CNN, Kinzinger discussed his feelings on the 2024 presidential race.

Host Kaitlan Collins asked, "you would vote for Joe Biden?" The ex-GOP Rep. responded, "Over Donald Trump in a hearbeat. To me, that's not even a question I would have to wrestle with. That wouldn't even be to me something that I would almost feel sick to do. Like, it is literally a question of do you believe in a functioning democracy or do you not?"

Kinzinger continued, "I think that's the only thing on the ballot. There's a guy running for President who has made it clear that he doesn't care about the Constitution both in action and in words. He is a victim of everything. He's always the victim of just every happening and we can't take that for another four years. the country is exhausted."

Trump will surely get wind of these comments and go after the former Congressman. Kinzinger certainly doesn't fear retribution from the ex-President as he has already left Congress.
