Thanks to a recent article published by The Atlantic, Donald Trump is encountering one of the biggest controversies of his presidency. Republicans have worked hard to deny the piece, which contained numerous stories of Donald Trump denigrating the media. Numerous reporters, however, have come out to confirm the piece.
The President tweeted on Friday night, “Jennifer Griffin of Fox News Did Not Confirm ‘Most Salacious‘ Part of Atlantic Story. All refuted by many witnesses. Jennifer Griffin should be fired for this kind of reporting. Never even called us for comment. Fox News is Gone!
While Trump was unhappy with Griffin’s work, she is known to be a top-notch reporter and is admired by many of her co-workers at Fox News.
During a segment on Friday, Conservative host Stephen Hayes said of the reporter, “Fox’s own Jennifer Griffin confirmed most aspects of the story. I don’t know of a single reporter at Fox who I have more confidence in her reporting than I do of Jennifer Griffin.”
Neither Fox News or Griffin have responded to the request from the President.
