Number Fifteen: He Shot Someone in Junior High. When 50 Cent was in junior high school, he shot someone with a .380 six-shot pistol. He reportedly did this after a group of kids tried to rob him.

Number Fourteen: His Surgeon Sued Him. After racking up $32,000 in medical bills (at least), 50 Cent’s orthopedic surgeon sued him after 50 Cent stiffed him on the bills.

Number Thirteen: He Almost Didn’t Do “In Da Club.” In fact, D12 was originally offered the beat. However, they passed on it after they couldn’t figure out what to do with it. Thankfully, 50 Cent had some great ideas.

Number Twelve: He Was Reebok’s Plan B. According to 50 Cent, Reebok lost the bid for LeBron James, who ended up doing a shoe with Nike, so they then came to 50 Cent and Jay Z to do a line of shoes.

Number Eleven: He Holds a Special Billboard Record. 50 Cent was the very first solo artist to have three singles in the Billboard top five in the same exact week. Those singles were “Candy Shop,” “How We Do,” and “Disco Inferno.”

Number Ten: Fat Joe Passed on “Candy Shop.” One of 50 Cent’s biggest singles got passed up by Fat Joe. Fat Joe had the beat for “Candy Shop,” and he also claimed that he helped produce it with Scott Storch. However, he ended up passing on it, which was great news for 50 Cent.

Number Nine: He Used to Play Jay Z’s Infamous Line Before Shows. You’re probably aware of the incident when Jay Z said, “I’m about a dollar what the f**k is 50 Cent?” However, did you know that 50 Cent used to play an audio clip of that line when opening his shows? Crazy.
