4chan Obsessed Alabama Man Kills 1 Police Officer, Wounds Others

Last night, in Auburn, Alabama, Police Officer William Buechner, was murdered in cold-blood. Two other officers, Webb Sistrunk and Evan Elliot were also shot. The shooter was Grady Wayne Wilks, a US Army veteran who was decked out in body armor.

The police officers had come to Wilks’ home after they received a domestic dispute call, only to be ambushed by Wilks, A look into the shooter’s background and Facebook page shows a dislike for police and a fondness for 4chan memes.

George Washington University’s JJ MacNab, shared a number of Wilks’ posts via Twitter. One post was in support of Donald Trump’s Access Hollywood tape. “Trump makes a comment years ago,” the shooter wrote. “Triggers every fragile feminist brain in the country. They scream, stomp and swear that they were victims of some bullsh*t form of rape that they made up yesterday. Donald Trump, I drink to you my friend.”

He also posted a video of alt-right activists fighting against protesters. “This made my day. Leftist scum,” wrote the shooter.

While Wilks was initially able to escape capture, authorities apprehended him 9 hours after the shooting. According to police, nearly 100 agencies were called in to aid in the search.

Auburn’s mayor, Ron Anders, told reporters, “”It’s a great responsibility to tell you what a sad day this is for our community. On behalf of our elected officials and our entire community, we’re very sorry that we have lost an officer in the line of duty.”

Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes has already declared his intention to seek the death penalty.
