Every single Democrat in the House of Representatives has signed on to a bill that calls for a 100% independent investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. Sadly, only 2 out of 238 Republicans have joined them in their effort.
House Democrats in January introduced the “Protecting American Democracy Act” to get to the core truths about Russia’s interference in the presidential election. The bill was sponsored by every single member of the Democratic caucus.
As expected, Republicans were quick to ignore the bill and call for its removal. However, two brave Republicans want the truth to come to light.
Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina, signed on weeks after the bill was introduced and now Michigan’s Justin Amash has joined the good fight.

The Russia probe is an important moment in American history. If the Trump administration did collude with Russian hackers to rig the U.S. Election it would be a massive breach of trust among the American people and violate numerous laws.
The probe could also reveal a massive national security issue that pertains to all Americans regardless of political affiliation.
.@RepCummings: This is not a Republican issue This is not a Democrat issue This is about the soul of our democracy #TrumpRussiaInvestigation

Following Donald Trump’s decision to fire F.B.I. Director James Comey in the middle of the Russia probe, more opponents are standing up to demand an independent investigation.
If more Republicans join the fight, we could finally receive the answers many of us are pretty sure already exist.
Welcome to the Red State…
